IRC Services
Sundiver IRC NEtworks offer a variety of services on our network and website. Basic services like registering a nickname, channel or sending memos to other users are handles through the Anope IRC Services as well as additional frameworks around them to facilitate integration in our website.
These convenient mehtods enable our users to get the most out of IRC and to be able to conentrate on chatting with others rather then concentrating on keeping a channel clean and secure or having their nickname impersonified.
A detailed documentation of the services is available in the according sections and is copirighted by Anope IRC Services or their respective copyright holders.
Services
Sundiver IRC Network uses Anope IRC Services to facilitate its various IRC inline services such as NickServ, ChanServ and others.

Further Help
If things are unclear after reading the documentation as well as the online help, you are free to ask an administrator or staff in the #help channel or sift through the help section and frequently given answers.
HelpNickServ
NickServ allows you to "register" a nickname and prevent others from using it. You can also group existing nicknames you have registered to your one nickname. Logging in to the Sundiver IRC Memberzone as well as other services require you to register your username. You can also register your username via our website or inline in IRC.
ChanServ
ChanServ allows you to register and control various aspects of channels. ChanServ can often prevent malicious users from "taking over" channels by limiting who is allowed channel operator privileges. A request to register your channel can be made in the memberzone on our webpage. There you also can set various options as well as name a successor and search for other registered channels.
MemoServ
Sends the named nick or channel a memo or in other words a short message. When sending to a nickname, the recipient will receive a notice that he/she has a new memo. The target nickname/channel must be registered. This service is useful when someone you want to contact is not online at the moment or will be used for official confirmations by our admins and staff.
BotServ
BotServ allows you to have a bot on your own channel. It has been created for users that can't host or configure a bot. See the detailed documentation about what bots are available with what features. Please keep in mind, that if you want to host your own bot or connect your own bot to the Sundiver IRC Network, you have to read, understand and comply to the Bot Policy first and get a written approval for your bot by the Sundiver IRC Network administrators.
HostServ
HostServ allows you to register a masking virtual host for your nickname, so that if other users do a /whois on your nickname they will see the virtual host instead of your real one. This can be of use when you are connecting from a host that you don't want to have exposed or visible to others. In such a case please state your reasons to a Sundiver IRC Network administrator so we can review the validity of your concerns and request. Virtual hosts are only given when needed and claims to have a host masked seem valid.
StatServ
StatServ is used to create versatile statistics of a channels useage and activity. If you are interested to have statistics tracked of your channel you simply can request a statistics measuring of your channel with StatServ. You have to have a valid, registered nickname as well as a registered channel you own to be able to use StatServ on that channel. Statistics can be made public to other users in the memberzone on Sundiver IRC Networks website or just remain private for the requester only.
